It's obvious, I am bad at blogging! I really want to say that I'll try to keep up this time, but I said that last time! Let's just see how it goes ;)
Well, Layla will be 3 in only 2 months... I really can't believe it! The other night I was reminiscing and looking at her baby photos which was bitter sweet. I miss my small little newborn and time is going by too quickly... but she sure is blooming into such a wonderful and beautiful little girl! She still has a speech delay but she is talking more and more lately! One of my favorite recent conversations...
Layla "Ohhh Belly!"
Me: "Oh does your belly hurt?"
Layla: sadly says "Yesss"
Me: "Oh... Do you need a snack?"Layla: "No... candy!"
That girl thinks she is smooth!
Being Layla's mother is such a blessing. She is truly an angel. She is every day proof that God will never give you more than you can't handle. I've had my personal reasons why it's been a rough situation... but good always comes from bad and I will always believe that. God works in mysterious ways!
Life is good. We recently took our first official family vacation to Ocean City, MD. Not only was it Ben, Layla, and I it was also my grand parents, 2 aunts, uncle, 5 cousins, and my sister. Ben and I had a nice room with a kitchenette that we shared with my sister. The resort was amazing. There was an indoor pool, out door pool, Pirate Ship splash park, putt putt, movie room, and diner, all on the property! Ben spent time fishing off the pier which I know made him very happy. I had a great time para sailing for the first time with my sister! My all time favorite was just seeing how happy Layla was! She had such a great time on the beach, swimming at the pools, playing at the splash park, and riding the rides on the board walk! Vacation put a hole in our pocket but it was worth every penny to see Layla so happy! <3
Some of Layla's favorite things... her stuffed dog, saying "Me too!" excitedly after everything you say, having tea parties, and watching Dora! Every night, she grabs her book "My Goodnight Book" and has either mommy and/or daddy read it to her before she goes to bed. She likes to act out the scenes, like washing her hair, brushing her teeth, then pretending to be asleep at the end of the book. When kissing her good night, she says "Better" which means she wants me to tell her "Feel better". I was sick a few weeks ago and Ben told her to tell me "Feel better". Since then, she wants me to tell her to feel better every night :) Sometimes, she will show me her knee (that she scratched pretty badly when on vacation) so I can tell her knee to feel better! :)
Anyway, it's about time to get this girl into bed. My favorite thing in the world is cuddling her, kissing her a million times, and telling her "I love you".

So much for keeping up
It's been a good while since I last posted... so much for keeping up with blogging. Well, let's try this out again!
Layla turned 2 last month! She is such an amazing little girl! Layla loves to say "Hiii" to any and everyone. She loves to share, help clean up, and cuddle with mommy and daddy. I can't imagine my life without her... she really brightens up my life! Layla has been working with speech therapist since she has a slight speech delay but let me tell you, even though she doesn't say many words, she can def tell you what she wants!
I am currently taking one class at FCC since they charged me out of state tuition. Next semester, I plan on being a full time student. In my Biology class, I have gotten a 100% on every assignment, a 100% on my first exam, and I am awaiting my second exam results. I have gotten 2 B's on quizzes but that shouldn't bring my grade down much. I am really proud of myself for doing so well my first semester back. I am finally realizing how important grades really are and that you can't accept anything but the best. I want the best for myself, and for my family.
I am working part time at an assisted living home. I want to stay part time while going to school so I can concentrate more on my school work.

The beginning of blogging
I am glad that I finally found my way back to blogging again... I just hope that I remember to keep it up. It's nice to see what life was like back then and compare it to how it is now. I always try to make today better than yesterday so reading back on old blogs can help me see how much I have changed and matured. It's nice to be able to share your most joyous moments with those who you wish were there and it's nice to look back at to remember those times that brought a smile to your face. It is also nice to be reminded of the hard times so that you can be grateful and proud that you were strong enough to overcome it.
One day, I would like my daughter to read my blogs so that she can see what a blessing she is. Layla is such a loved baby girl... so was loved by so many people before she even came into this world. I want to share all of these wonderful memories with her and hope that they all bring a smile to her face. Layla will know what her parents were like as young parents... rad of course :)
I have been married to Ben for 3 years and 7 months now! I can't believe how fast time flies by! It feels like it was just yesterday when Ben asked me to marry him when we were laying in bed in Daytona Beach, FL. I will never forget how I laughed at him after he asked me to marry him and I said no... now look at us! We had only known each other for 2 months before getting married... yes, 2 months! That was probably the craziest thing I have ever done in my life... and the greatest! I couldn't ask for a better husband or father for my child.
I am very happy with my life! I have a perfect baby girl, amazing husband, and a wonderful family. I hope that I keep up with blogging because it would be nice to look back and see how much things have changed... hopefully for the better! Let's see where this blog goes! :)
